Our Choir
High Spirit Harmonies is a community that sings, laughs, and builds connection through the joy of shared song.
We Love to Have Fun!
Do you just want to SING?! If you like a cappella music and want to sing in a spirited, inclusive, open and affirming environment, you'll feel at home here. Our choir sings a wide variety of songs that are easily accessible, beautiful, moving, and fun. Songs are taught in the aural tradition of call and response – we don’t use sheet music. All levels of ability are welcome and celebrated. There are no auditions; the only requirement is your desire to sing.
Our Director
Meet Jennifer (she/her)
Hi! I’m Jennifer McNeil Miller, Founder and Director of High Spirit Harmonies. I teach songs to people of all ages and experience levels through my joy of music and singing.
I started this group to create community through singing because we are all born to sing — it is our birthright — and each of us has a unique voice to share.
I have a lifetime of experience performing and singing folk music with my family, choral music in school, and a cappella music professionally.
I am a mother of two loving young men, a wife to an amazing husband, and a dog-mom to a little goofball named Felix.
Each season I look forward to sharing new songs and repeating old favorites. I feel pure joy when everything clicks and a song comes alive. I treasure the laughter we share each week, and I love seeing choir members leave an evening feeling better than when they arrived.
I am incredibly grateful to all of you who walk through the doors, open your hearts, and share your voices.
I am because you are.
Our Seasons
When and Where We Gather
• We offer a spring and fall season every year.
• We gather Tuesday evenings, 7:00–8:30 p.m., at St. Thomas Episcopal Church in the Park Hill neighborhood of Denver.
• We sing a wide variety of songs that are easily accessible, beautiful, moving, and fun. All songs are taught by ear through call and response.
• We also meet for sectionals. Each section (soprano, alto, tenor, and bass) meets for two one-hour sessions during the season — one on a Monday evening and one on a Saturday morning.
